Security Specialist Role
The Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security of a company in Australia, working closely with the Chief Security Officer to provide strategic oversight of protective security across governance, personnel, and physical security.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contact for security advice and incident response.
* Develop and maintain Security Policies & Plans (SPP).
* Conduct regular threat and risk assessments to assess suitability of security posture.
* Conduct regular security audits to ensure business activities remain within required accreditation or regulatory standards.
* Investigate incidents and respond to critical situations to protect business operations and staff.
About You:
* Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Essential).
* Hold relevant qualifications such as Defence Security Officer Course and Defence Security Risk Management Course (desired).
* Possess knowledge of incident management, investigations, and crises management principles.
* Understand security risk management techniques.
This role requires a strong understanding of security principles and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures, and provide expert advice on security-related matters.
