About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Store Operations Manager – Bendigo is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective running of store and warehouse operations. You'll oversee dispatch, receiving, inventory accuracy, team leadership, and customer service across a dynamic wholesale environment with many moving parts. This is a frontline leadership role where you'll manage supervisors and operational team members, build strong relationships with internal and external partners, and drive operational excellence across the branch.
In this Role
* Lead daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and on‐time dispatch and high DIFOT performance.
* Oversee receiving, stock integrity, replenishment, and promotional execution.
* Coach, develop, and support supervisors and operational team members.
* Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS, COR, Food Safety, and HACCP requirements.
* Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, transport partners, and internal teams.
* Support achievement of financial targets, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You're Likely a Match If
* Experience in a similar role with excellent knowledge of wholesale / retail, Supermarkets operations within grocery / Confectionery or Hospitality (Supermarkets, Foodservice & Liquor) industry
* Ability to lead teams, coach supervisors, and manage performance
* Strong understanding of safety compliance (WHS, COR, Food Safety, HACCP)
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
* Operational knowledge, including warehouse/dispatch processes and WMS systems
* Commercial acumen, forecasting and planning capability, and problem‐solving skills
