About the role
Freestyle Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This is a full-time position focused on the installation, maintenance and repair of residential and commercial air conditioning systems. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers stay comfortable all year round.
What you'll be doing
1. Conduct inspections, diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning units
2. Install new air conditioning systems to customer specifications
3. Perform routine maintenance and servicing on existing systems
4. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice
5. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
6. Maintain detailed records and provide progress updates to the team
What we're looking for
1. Formal qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration, such as a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
2. Minimum 2 years' practical experience as an air conditioning technician, with a strong understanding of installation, maintenance and repair procedures
3. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and rectify issues
4. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information in an easy to understand way
5. A current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
6. Commitment to working safely and following all relevant industry regulations and standards
