Job Description
Support Workers play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and companionship. This involves providing personal care, mobility, and medication prompting while promoting customer choice, positive routines, and meaningful activities.
Employees work closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and make informed choices, collaborating with support networks. This role requires effective communication skills and a customer service focus, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability, or Individual Support. A valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and reliability are also essential. Commitment to meaningful community work and a team-oriented mindset aligned with our mission-driven organization are highly valued.
The ideal candidate will possess proficiency with smartphones, email, and internet. They should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and prioritize tasks efficiently. Most importantly, they must demonstrate empathy and understanding when working with clients who require support.
