Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance Leadership: Spearhead the delivery of critical maintenance services across Wollongong's civil infrastructure, rock pools, fleet & plant mechanical, and metal fabrication teams.
* Safety Management: Embed a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance and commitment to WHS & Environment while fostering a proactive approach to risk management.
* Maintenance Coordination: Organise, schedule, prioritise, control, and coordinate the delivery of maintenance for all civil assets throughout the city.
* Workshop Operations: Oversee the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Council's workshop, including fleet, plant, equipment, and metal fabrication.
* Crisis Response: Lead the response to community incidents and liaise with local emergency service agencies and providers.
* Asset Expertise: Collaborate with the Infrastructure Strategy and Planning Division to enhance the team's expertise in asset condition assessment.
* Innovation Management: Implement intelligent defect management for road corridor assets and drive innovation to improve both civil maintenance and workshop functions.
