The Opportunity:
The ideal candidate will be experienced with:
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
* Performing routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
* Disassembling and reassemble heavy equipment components.
* Troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
* Using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
* Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
* Collaborating with team members to complete complex repair projects.
* Breakdowns and underground maintenance
* Skilled with an extensive range of Mining equipment
About you
* Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
* National Police Clearance (validity dependent on site)
* Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
* High Risk Forklift License (Desirable)
* Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment. Drills would be ideal
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to safety.
