About the Role

Belonging Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering high-quality support to NDIS participants living with complex mental health needs, autism (ASD), psychosocial disabilities, and dual diagnoses.

You will provide both community-based and residential support, ensuring participants feel safe, respected, and empowered in their daily lives.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supporting participants with daily living, personal care, and independence skills.
* Providing emotional, recovery-focused, and trauma-informed support.
* Encouraging meaningful community participation and social inclusion.
* Assisting with positive behaviour support implementation under professional guidance.
* Working collaboratively within a supportive, values-driven team environment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for passionate individuals who genuinely want to make a difference in people's lives.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

* Experience working with people with mental health conditions, ASD, psychosocial disability, or dual disabilities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
* A commitment to person-centred care, dignity, and empowerment.
* Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends.
* Qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, Disability, or Social Work.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Participant Preference & Additional Considerations

* This role supports a participant who has expressed a preference for a Christian support worker, in line with their personal beliefs, values, and faith practices.
* Applicants who actively practise the Christian faith and are comfortable supporting the participant in faith-related activities and conversations will be strongly preferred.
* A pastoral reference (e.g. from a church pastor, minister, or faith leader) is preferred.

This preference is based on the participant's right to choice and control and aligns with person-centred support principles under the NDIS Practice Standards.
