Responsibilities
- Platform specific safety familiarisation course (or equivalent)
- Competence assessment on the task being authorised
- System or component specific courses for component level maintenance
- Understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
- Demonstrated understanding of WH&S; requirements
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance
- Provide coaching and mentoring in support of OJT progression and technical supervision of a team
- Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in Aeroskills – Mechanical from a recognised institution
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASRs
- Ability to work on a rotating roster
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance
- Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) on applicable type
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused aircraft maintenance engineer. You will undertake maintenance and certification within the scope of authorisation. You will be responsible for ensuring aircraft are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards and for endorsing all maintenance and General Aviation Tasking (if required) completed in the aircraft continuing airworthiness record system, and supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation-related duties by providing Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of your authorisation.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Employment may be contingent on providing additional personal information to ensure compliance with export control legislation and regulations.
This role will be based at Holsworthy, NSW.
