Justice Officer Role Overview
Sheriffs officers play a vital role in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and upholding justice. They are responsible for protecting court complexes, serving summonses, and enforcing writs, warrants, and orders issued by the courts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and adapt to changing demands.
Successful applicants will undergo training and certification programs, including the 12-week SORT course and Certificate III in Government. A valid NSW driver's license and current first aid certificate are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the security of court complexes and ensure the safety of people attending.
* Provide high-quality support and interact with diverse groups, including court staff, police, legal representatives, and judicial members.
* Serve summonses and enforce writs, warrants, and orders issued by the courts.
* Prepare detailed reports for court use.
