The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnostics, servicing, and repair of a diverse range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct diagnostic testing and accurately identify faults
* Repair and replace diesel engines, transmissions, steering, braking, and lighting systems
* Perform preventative maintenance on light vehicles, prime movers, and agricultural equipment including cotton pickers
* Carry out test drives to ensure safety and performance
* Maintain accurate service logs, records, and parts inventory
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain workshop standards
Requirements
* Trade qualifications in Mechanical, Automotive, or Heavy Vehicle Engineering
* Solid experience in diesel diagnostics, servicing, and repair
* Strong IT and problem-solving skills, with the ability to self-diagnose faults
* Physically fit with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Good organisational and interpersonal skills
* Competitive salary package based on experience ($40-$45 per hour)
