Downer Group is seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to support the Northern Assets portfolio.
In this diverse role based out of West Pennant Hills, you will provide expert guidance, ensure compliance across multiple sites, influence operational practices, and help drive Downer's sustainability agenda. Key Responsibilities
* Monitor environmental compliance across multiple sites.
* Manage registers for environmental licences and compliance activities.
* Provide mentoring and coaching to operational teams.
* Support responses to regulatory notices and compliance actions.
* Coordinate environmental approvals and risk review processes.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Energy or a related field.
* 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
* Exposure in the road or civil maintenance sectors will be highly regarded.
* Strong knowledge of state environmental legislation and broader national frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple approvals.
* Experience with Environmental Management Systems (ISO AS/NZS 14001 desirable).
* Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Effective planning, organisation and analytical skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
