Trinity Bay State High School is seeking energetic, honest, and reliable individuals to join our cleaning team.
As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks, security responsibilities, and collaboration with the school leadership team to ensure high standards are met.
The role requires working split shifts, Monday to Friday, with morning shifts from 5:00am to 9:00am and afternoon shifts from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, plus ADO.
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.92FTE), 70 hours per fortnight.

Your Role
As a Cleaner at Trinity Bay SHS, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the school operates efficiently and meets high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning duties, including sanitising toilets, sick bays, and high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs and taps.
Clean and maintain equipment, windows, furniture, and floors (including buffing, stripping, and polishing).
Manage rubbish disposal, graffiti removal, and cobweb control.
Maintain outdoor areas, including cleaning paved surfaces and removing debris from drains and gutters.
Activate and disarm security systems, and lock/unlock buildings as required.
Liaise with the Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning supplies and report any safety or security concerns.

Being physically fit, hardworking, and reliable, with a strong work ethic and reliable transport.
Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, departmental cleaning policies, procedures, and practices applicable to schools including chemical management.
Certificate III in Cleaning Operations is desirable, but not essential.
