As a Senior Psychologist Team Leader in the education sector, you will be part of a dynamic team and directly accountable to senior management. Your practice will be guided by relevant departmental policies, professional standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead psychologists and provide strategic guidance on the development and implementation of programs, interventions, and evaluations across various levels.
* Offer expert advice to senior managers, school leaders, and the broader system on complex issues and situations, including emergency response and incident management.
* Mentor and develop a team of psychologists with varying experience levels, promoting their professional growth and adherence to best practice standards.
Requirements
* Possess or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the appointment duration.
* OBTAIN A VALID WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK BEFORE STARTING AND CONSENT TO A SCREENING CLEARANCE NUMBER ISSUED BY THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT'S SCREENING UNIT BEFORE STARTING.
* Complete the department's induction program within three months of commencement, undergo required training as per departmental policy, complete training in accountable and ethical decision-making within six months of appointment, and complete the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within three months of starting.
