We are a progressive and socially responsible school, proud of our strong community ties and commitment to academic excellence.The island's serene beaches, lush national parks, and vibrant local culture provide a unique backdrop for both students and staff to maximise learning.About the RoleAs the Head of Department - Industrial Design and Technology, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Curriculum & Assessment Oversight: Lead the planning, implementation, and quality assurance of the school's curriculum and assessment, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and the CARF.Team Leadership & Pedagogical Development: Lead the Design Technologies team in delivering high-quality pedagogical instruction, aligned with the school's Explicit Improvement Agenda, through professional development, coaching, and mentoring.Data-Driven Improvement: Analyse student achievement data to inform curriculum improvements and targeted professional development.Inclusive Teaching Practices: Build teacher capacity to deliver curriculum and assessment that inclusively caters to diverse student learning needs.Professional Learning Leadership: Develop and lead professional learning opportunities for staff to ensure ongoing professional growth and development.Moderation & Consistency: Build teachers' capacity to enact whole-school moderation processes.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
