Overview

Waggrakine Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Education Support for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. Waggrakine PS is an independent public school located in Geraldton, 4 hours north of Perth, on the coast with picturesque beaches and balmy weather year-round. The school values community involvement and welcomes families as partners in education, fostering an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment where every student feels connected and belongs.

Find out more about our school at waggrakineps.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.

The Role

Waggrakine PS has an Endorsed Education Support Program (EESP) opening in 2026. The school is inclusive, with classes from Kindergarten to Year Six, alongside the EESP. We seek a pool of committed, resilient and highly motivated teachers who prioritise strong relationships with the whole school community and collaborate to engage children, families and stakeholders in developing a culturally responsive, inclusive school.

We expect staff to focus on ongoing professional growth within a forward‑thinking team, work in Professional Learning Communities and classroom teams, and contribute to an open, supportive culture. A growth mindset with teamwork, solution‑focused problem solving, reflective practice and acting on feedback is highly regarded. Applicants should prioritise evidence‑based teaching and align with Waggrakine PS’s pedagogical framework to support student achievement as described in the guiding statement, “Every student, every opportunity to succeed, learn and grow.”

The role emphasises using data and research to inform teaching, embedding differentiated practice, and delivering programs that support all students. Successful applicants will have a contemporary understanding of teaching students with disabilities; knowledge of AAC is preferred but not essential.
