The Organisation
Hailing from humble origins, our client is a specialist SaaS business that has experienced significant growth over the last 20 odd years. Now having been recently acquired by a significant overseas private equity group, the company is currently undergoing a transformative period of change. As such, the organisation is seeking the services of an experienced company accountant or finance manager to provide assistance to the CFO for an initial period of 6 months.
The Role
The company accountant will be responsible for supporting the financial management and analysis functions of the company. This includes preparation of monthly management financial statements, analytical commentary for the Board, production of the annual financial statements; and setting policies and procedures for conformance with accounting standards, mandatory legislation and regulations, preparation of budget and working with internal and external stakeholder in a collaborative manner. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the successful candidate will also support the existing finance team by assisting in day-to-day financial activities, month end closing, taxation compliance, analysis, stakeholder management and year end activities, while ensuring business processes are performed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures. This role requires the ability to communicate at all levels of the business and to role model and adhere to company values and behaviours.
The Ideal Candidate
CA / CPA qualified and with good technical accounting experience gained out of a reputable finance function, you will enjoy building broad relationships across the business and be willing to roll up your sleeves in a smaller organisation as it continues to grow. With good leadership experience and / or potential - you have a passion for being part of effecting change within a team environment.
