Civcon Civil & Project Management is a Western Australian Civil Construction and Project Management company seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team. We pride ourselves in providing outstanding service to our clients and understanding their needs and requirements, managing and delivering projects to quality standards.
Due to continuing growth, we require a Senior Estimator on a full-time permanent basis at our West Perth head office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the construction and tendering team and must have a proven track record in winning earthworks, underground services, and road work tenders.
As Senior Estimator, you will be required to provide technical services, support and complete tenders or bids by building up rates, schedules, quantities and pricing, ensuring that all key conditions of the tender are complied with whilst ensuring all tender pricing is supplied in time for the tender submission.
You will be required to ensure that cost estimates are transcribed clearly with our estimating software Expert Estimator.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
* Liaise with the Estimating Manager regarding the decision to tender on specific projects
* First principal estimation for earthworks, roadworks and underground services from $1M up to $40M
* Preparation and review of tender programmes
* Preparation of technical clarifications
* RFI's
* Undertake risk and opportunity analysis strategies for each tender
* Quantity take-offs
* Preparation and review of methodologies
* Liaison with subcontractors for quotations and support tenders
* Preparation of tender documentation for tender review meetings
* Assist other estimators with gathering information for tenders
* Keeping the Estimating Manager informed of the status of tender applications
Your Background
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
* Extensive experience in first principals estimation for civil and underground services projects or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
* Highly developed planning and negotiation skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
