Project Manager Opportunity
We're seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead critical projects in our National Security and Defence business areas based in Melbourne or Canberra.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex multi-disciplinary projects and/or a portfolio of projects. Strong stakeholder management and project leadership experience, with the ability to work with technical teams and brief senior executives, is essential.
* You will be accountable for the definition, execution, and successful completion of projects within the portfolio.
* Maintain accurate records of operational budgets, project profitability, staffing requirements, project resources, in-flight project change, and inter-project dependencies and project risk.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for clients with day-to-day accountability for the service/solution being provided.
* Develop and nurture relationships with key customer stakeholders and effectively manage client and sponsor expectations.
* Lead multi-disciplinary project teams including suppliers and subcontractors, holding them to account for project performance and ensuring success.
* Provide timely project status and cost and revenue forecasts at project board reviews.
* Contribute to the development and review of proposals and bids for clients and projects within the business area.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years of experience
* Proven track record of complex Project Management ideally within a professional services or software/technology-based industry
* Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to customers on a professional level
* Able to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast-paced environment
* Australian government security clearance at minimum NV1, preferably higher
