About The Role
Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a Property Officer to manage properties that support staff, operations and Traditional Owners across urban and remote Northern Territory communities. As a Property Officer, you will be part of a dedicated Property & Assets team responsible for coordinating and supporting the management of residential and commercial properties across the NLC's seven regions. You will be involved in leasing, inspections, maintenance coordination and contractor engagement, ensuring properties are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Working closely with internal teams, regional staff, landlords and service providers, this role offers a diverse workload across urban and remote contexts, with opportunities to build strong relationships and contribute to continuous improvement in property management practices.
What You Will Bring
You are an experienced property professional with a sound understanding of residential and/or commercial property management. You are highly organised, detail‐focused and confident working with leases, compliance requirements and maintenance coordination and you communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including contractors, landlords and internal teams.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in property management within residential and/or commercial environments.
* Minimum of two years' experience in residential or commercial property management.
* Experience in housing or property management with knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1999, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
* Demonstrated ability to understand and apply leases, contracts and relevant legislation.
* Experience using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
* Current C Class Driver's Licence, and willingness and ability to undertake regular remote travel by 4WD or light aircraft.
Benefits
* A base salary of $76,946 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefit up to $2,650 per year.
* Other benefits under the Enterprise Agreement include district allowance of up to $4,884 (DA2) per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,678 (DA1) without dependents.
* Generous leave provisions: 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave; paid Christmas close down.
* Upon completion of 12 months of service an annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177.
