Mitchelton State High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to join our leadership team as Head of Department - Senior Schooling & Technology.
This role involves working collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and external partners to ensure every student is supported to achieve their Queensland Certificate of Education and reach theirpost-school goals.
The successful applicant will also lead the Vocational Education and Training Program in the school.

Who We Are:
Mitchelton State High School is located Northwest of Brisbane. We cater to a diverse community of learners across Years 7 - 12. We have a current enrolment of approximately 560 students, a Trade Training Centre on site, International Student Program and High School Preparation Program.
Students at Mitchelton State High School learn in a community that values respect, engagement, achievement and lifelong learning. We encourage all students to perform at their best, maintain a positive attitude and aim for individual excellence in all that they do.
Our dedicated teaching staff maintain a strong sense of commitment to student performance and achievement. Academic staff and the Leadership Team work closely with Student Support Services and community organisations to deliver high quality programs to maximise student engagement in study.
- Developing strategic relationships with training providers and services
- Tracking and monitoring student outcomes and progress across the Senior School
- RTO Management and coordination of the school VET Program
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with outside providers in the various VET and University pathways to assist students accessing these programs
- Leading and managing the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) tracking in the Senior School
- Leading and managing the Senior Education Training Plan (SET-P) for students in Year 10
- Curriculum leadership of Technology KLA
