Water Resources Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a talented Water Resources Engineer to contribute to the development of transformative projects in the local region as well as across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering water resources projects, particularly in the areas of flood risk management, nature-based solutions, mine water management, and major infrastructure. You will have the chance to collaborate with various specialists and technical disciplines on flood assessment projects, stormwater management plans, and mine waste management projects.
You will contribute to the creation of water sensitive urban design, drainage design, and hydraulic design for civil works. Additionally, you will support project management activities and build relationships with clients based on your interests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Flood assessment projects, stormwater management plans, and mine waste management projects
* Support water sensitive urban design, drainage design, and hydraulic design for civil works
* Contribute to transformative projects in the local region as well as across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond
* Support project management activities and build relationships with clients
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline
* Working knowledge of ARR2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM
* Experience with water resource modeling packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, MUSIC, GoldSim etc., and experience with 12D design & GIS software
* Excellent communication skills and ability to write high-quality technical and non-technical reports
