We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee our filleting team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the filleting team to ensure high standards in people safety and product quality.
* Oversee area KPIs, including cost control, yield optimization, and production output.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive team culture.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant external regulations.
* Maintain day-to-day operational control, providing guidance and support to team members.
* Apply strong risk management practices to prevent issues and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in team leadership, with a focus on safety and performance management.
* Strong understanding of operational KPIs (cost, yield, output) and process improvement.
* Ability to lead change and build a collaborative team environment.
* Knowledge of food quality, safety standards, and GMP desirable but not essential.
* Experience in the food industry or smokehouse operations advantageous but not mandatory.
* Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.
* Driver's licence and reliable transport to get to work.
* A positive 'can-do' attitude with a focus on safety.
* Proof of working rights in Australia.
* Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment and drug test.
