Project Management Opportunity
Founded in 2015, a medium civil engineering construction business is delivering civil and water infrastructure projects across Victoria and Southern NSW.
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The role is based in Bendigo but will work on projects across regional and rural Victoria and Southern NSW.
This role offers high levels of autonomy, a diverse range of experiences and responsibilities, and great opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all phases of civil construction projects, from planning through to completion.
* Develop and oversee the project program, budget and contract administration.
* Ensure projects are delivered in line with specifications, approved plans and client expectations.
* Proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues to keep projects on track and on budget.
* Demonstrate leadership in regard to safety, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of people on site and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety requirements.
* Procure materials and services in line with the program and assist the Site Supervisor with the organisation of labour and equipment.
* Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoice and claims.
* Conduct site inspections and audits, internal site meetings and assist with pre-starts and toolbox meetings as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* 3+ years industry experience delivering multiple civil construction projects from start to finish.
* Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute detailed project plans, manage budgets, develop reports.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team to deliver projects to required standards.
* Proven ability to work autonomously, demonstrating foresight planning, sound judgement and decision making, and attention to detail appropriate to the position.
* Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders and build relationships allowing effective negotiation and conflict resolution as required.
