Mt William Advanced Trees Nursery is a family‐owned business with over 50 years of experience growing premium‐quality trees. Operating across two sites in the stunning Macedon Ranges, just outside Lancefield, we supply councils, landscapers, and commercial clients throughout Victoria and interstate.

The Opportunity
This role is a key part of our sales and customer relationship function. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, managing enquiries from initial contact through to confirmed orders, coordinating deliveries, and helping clients select the right products for their projects.
Whether your background is in sales, customer service, or horticulture, we will support your development. What matters most is your ability to communicate well, build rapport, take ownership of outcomes, and contribute to repeat business and customer satisfaction.
This is a hands‐on, varied role where your work directly supports the commercial success and long‐term reputation of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Relationships
* Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, converting opportunities into confirmed sales
* Manage retail counter sales with a strong focus on service and value‐added advice
* Build and maintain positive relationships with councils, landscapers, and commercial clients
* Proactively identify additional or seasonal product needs to support repeat business
* Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and sales processes
Order & Delivery Coordination
* Prepare accurate quotes, sales orders, and picking details
* Coordinate deliveries and customer pick‐ups with internal teams and freight partners
* Liaise with suppliers and transport providers to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Administration & Operations
* General administrative duties and data entry
* Maintain accurate customer and order records
* Comply with OH&S requirements at all times
Nursery Support (Seasonal)
* Occasional assistance in the nursery, including potting, pruning, watering, staking, and general maintenance
Key Role Requirements
* Genuine interest in horticulture, trees, or the outdoor environment
* Strong communication skills and confidence engaging professional customers
* Sales‐minded approach focused on solutions and positive outcomes
* High attention to detail with accurate order handling
* Good organisational and time‐management skills
* Comfortable using Microsoft 365 systems
* Ability to identify process gaps and contribute to improvements
* Able to work independently and as part of a close‐knit team
* Flexible, positive, and proactive work ethic
