We are currently supporting and established family owned business in the manufacturing space as they embark on a period of change and transformation. With the finance function at the heart of this change, an exciting opportunity exists to partner with an experienced CFO to improve both the ways of working and the value of the finance function within the organisation.
With an eye for detail and a calm and effective communication style, along with the ability to problem solve and work through challenges methodically, this role requires an experienced finance professional who has ideally gained experience in the manufacturing sector. You will be managing a small team but in working collaboratively, you will also have the opportunity help shape the future state and structure of the finance working.
Specifically, you will have accountability for responsibilities such as:
* Providing oversight and support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports, such as board report.
* Providing oversight and support in the preparation and lodgement of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, such as tax compliance, financial statements, and FBT lodgement.
* Providing support in the annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
* Control year end audit activities and, where required, have robust discussions with external auditors to ensure any matters that arise are resolved effectively.
* Perform ad hoc analysis, develop new financial models or reports and business cases as required.
* Continuous improvement review, document and implement improvements to existing business processes and reports.
* Business partnering with key members of executive leadership team.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities, and drive actions across teams.
Working closely with a supportive CFO, you will have gained experience in prior roles which allow you to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team. You will possess strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
