Job Role
The Aged Care Reform Unit at the Department of Health Tasmania operates at a statewide level to support care and services delivered by the Tasmanian Health Service to older Tasmanians.
Oversight and contract management of Australian Government funded aged care within the Tasmanian Health Service are key responsibilities.
The role involves implementing sub-projects consistent with service objectives and timeframes, engaging in high-level consultation and collaboration, and providing clinical nursing expertise in reviewing, developing, and implementing practice policies, protocols, and guidelines for revised models of care and service delivery.
Requirements
* A combination of advanced clinical nursing knowledge and operational aspects of patient flow and service improvement is essential.
* Broad knowledge of contemporary health service delivery and models of care for specialist areas is also required.
* Knowledge of clinical service funding and reporting requirements for specific services or patient care types is necessary.

Eligibility Criteria
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse is mandatory.
* Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration is also required.
