Remuneration: Dependent on Qualification

* Clinical Nurse Consultant : $2,603.10 - $2,654.99 per week
* Senior Psychologist : $2,375.95 - $2,574.58 per week
* Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist Level 4 : $2,424.82 - $2,483.60 per week

In addition to base salary, all roles attract 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging + Flexible Working (subject to approval)

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced mental health clinician to join the PACER (Police, Ambulance and Clinician Early Response) team, based in Camden. This innovative, community-based service provides rapid mental health assessment and intervention for people experiencing acute distress, in close collaboration with NSW Police and NSW Ambulance.
As a PACER Clinician, you will play a critical role in delivering timely, recovery oriented care in community settings, helping to de escalate crises, support consumers and families, and reduce unnecessary hospital presentations. Working from police and ambulance stations, you will respond to requests from frontline emergency services and provide expert clinical advice, triage, assessment and intervention during complex mental health emergencies.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment while contributing to contemporary models of care that strengthen partnerships across health, emergency services and community networks. You will be required to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking motivated and skilled mental health professionals who are confident working in fast paced, high pressure environments and who are passionate about community based crisis response.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

* Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and advanced clinical assessment skills
* Strong experience managing complex mental health crises and providing timely, evidence based interventions
* The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with police, paramedics, families and community partners
* A recovery oriented, person centred approach grounded in ethical practice
* Excellent communication, consultation and clinical judgement skills
* Flexibility and resilience to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends

Selection Criteria

* Relevant qualification/ registration in one of the disciplines, as noted in the essential criteria (please refer to the position description).
* Describe a time when you provided a timely and comprehensive mental health response in a community setting. How did you assess the consumer's needs, engage their support network, and coordinate care to avoid hospitalisation?
* PACER clinicians work closely with emergency services and community partners. Can you provide an example of how you've led or contributed to building partnerships across sectors to improve outcomes for individuals with mental health and/or comorbidity issues?
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
