About the role
Work with the surgical multidisciplinary team in providing excellent patient care within Calvary Mater Newcastle to maximise the health outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical services for surgical patients, patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital patients who require the assistance of a consultant Anaesthetist.
Supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars and junior medical officers in the department.
Work in collaboration with the Director of Anaesthesia to improve service delivery and patient management.
Communicate effectively with patients, families and other clinicians across the continuum of patient care.
Selection Criteria
A Primary Medical Degree registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with your Fellowship of the Australia & Recent Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Sound clinical knowledge in the Anaesthesia demonstrated through successful clinical practice and a demonstrated capacity in efficient and effective patient management.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching junior medical staff, nursing and allied health with a demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
