Podiatrist Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Podiatrist to join our team in Mount Isa, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As a Podiatrist with this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating foot and lower limb conditions, conducting regular diabetic foot assessments, and delivering culturally safe and appropriate podiatry treatment to patients in Mount Isa and Lower Gulf communities.
Responsibilities
* Assess and treat foot and lower limb conditions in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Conduct regular diabetic foot assessments and develop treatment plans accordingly.
* Deliver culturally safe and appropriate podiatry treatment to patients from diverse backgrounds.
* Support a culture of holistic evaluation through collaboration with other health professionals.
* Develop and deliver education programs on chronic disease self-management to patients and healthcare practitioners.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with organizational policies.
Requirements
* Tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification) in Podiatry and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA).
* Experience in providing assessment, intervention, and case management services in various settings.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and working sensitively and effectively within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service context.
