After‐Hours Manager – Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Sydney
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our senior leadership team and provide after‐hours leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital. This role fosters a dynamic, team‐based environment with a focus on delivering the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities
* Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
* Provide leadership across the facility
* Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) and heads of departments
* Ensure all areas are staffed according to patient acuity and appropriate skill mix
* Coordinate patient admissions
* Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
* Manage multiple tasks and allocate resources appropriately
Qualifications & Experience
* Current unconditional AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
* Recent experience with the coordination and allocation of human resources within identified KPI's
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and Patient Management Software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities to ensure excellence in patient‐centred care and customer service
* Role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care
* Ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards to clinical decision making
* Understanding of Private Hospital Funding Models
* Well‐developed leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of a multi‐disciplinary workforce
* Ability to establish and maintain rapport with external referral providers
* Ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, their families and colleagues
* Ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios

* Salary based on years of relevant registered nursing experience. Current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020‐2024. Salary: NUM Gr 3 pay rate $74.03.

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and proof of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Those in patient‐contact roles will also need to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
