Position Descriptor:
Para Vista Primary School is seeking a teacher to work as part of a collaborative teaching team in a year 3/4 and two year 4/5 classes. This role involves 1 day in each of these classes delivering consistent, high-quality curriculum in English, Maths and a negotiated specific area of focus that will support consistency across the three classes. Teachers currently base their English instruction on EDI practices. The teacher will need to work collaboratively with the small team of teachers to ensure curriculum consistency and share best practice. Experience in trauma-informed practice to support all students, with particular attention to priority students is essential. The team is highly collaborative and as a member of this team, the teacher will contribute to team meetings, planning sessions, and professional learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families is essential. 0.6 needs to be Monday, Thursday and Friday to accommodate needs of the team.
