Working closely with the Product and Technology teams, you will shape the UX/UI process through research, strategy, concept development, design, and implementation. This role allows you to establish best practices, design workflows, and outcomes from scratch, with the added advantage of building and leading a design team.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the complete UX process, from research and ideation to flawless execution.
- Collaborating closely with the Product Manager, Tech Lead, and other designers to shape product ideas, understand problems, reach optimal solutions, and ensure top-notch deliverables.
- Contributing to the discovery phase by providing user stories, conducting thorough research, creating wireframes and user flows, and defining effective problem-solving strategies.
- Transforming insights, data, and user feedback into cohesive prototypes, validating ideas with stakeholders and end-users.
- Building, implementing, executing, testing, and iterating on a robust design system.
- Continuously evaluating outcomes and success metrics, refining solutions as needed.
- Articulating insights, issues, and solutions through compelling storytelling to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Mentoring and nurturing the growth of other team members.
- Utilizing and enhancing the Design System, crafting scalable and reusable UI components and interaction patterns across brands.
- Thriving in the challenge of designing at scale, leveraging the unique opportunities and constraints that come with being the first UX designer in the company.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- 5 years experience in UX Product Design, preferably with experience in B2B / SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools, showcasing your distinctive design approach and vision.
- A comprehensive understanding of end-to-end product design, encompassing mapping, interaction design, and user research.
- A proven track record of transforming customer insights into exceptional and seamless experiences that deliver tangible business value.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, enabling you to guide them effectively through the design process while balancing the needs of the business, technology, and customers.
- A commercial mindset with a focus on driving growth through outstanding UX.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and data analytics will be highly regarded.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be beneficial.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, facilitating seamless collaboration with distributed teams.
- A self-motivated and energetic approach, displaying the ability to seize excellent ideas and run with them!
