Position
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development, commissioning and support of industrial control systems. This is a hands‐on engineering position offering exposure across all project stages, from initial scope and design through to commissioning and ongoing client support.
You will work on a diverse range of industrial automation projects, primarily within food & beverage and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Scope, design, develop and commission industrial control systems
* PLC and SCADA programming, configuration and system integration
* Develop functional design specifications, control narratives and documentation
* Commission and support systems on client sites, including troubleshooting and fault finding
* Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support to existing systems
* Work effectively as part of a team, be willing to mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in industrial control systems engineering
* Strong Allen Bradley PLC experience (ControlLogix / CompactLogix / Studio 5000)
* Strong SCADA experience with FactoryTalk View SE or Citect SCADA and preferably previous exposure to Ignition SCADA
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills
* Current driver's licence and willingness to attend client sites
