About the Role
HJM Electrical is seeking a reliable and organised Store Person to take full ownership of our warehouse operations. This is a critical role within our business, ensuring our electrical team is equipped with the correct materials to remain productive and on schedule.
As you will primarily be working independently, we are looking for a self-starter who takes pride in maintaining an orderly environment and has a high level of personal accountability.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving & Dispatch: Unpack daily deliveries and accurately check stock against purchase orders and packing lists.
* Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, identify shortages, and maintain precise digital and physical records.
* Job Preparation: Pick, label, and prepare material \"job packs\" for the electrical team to collect for upcoming projects.
* Warehouse Maintenance: Organise and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse layout.
* Administration: Use basic computer systems for email communication, printing labels, and data entry.
Selection Criteria
* Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently and manage your own workflow effectively.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in checking orders and managing inventory.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting as required in a warehouse environment.
* Technical Skills: Competency in basic computer use (Email and Data Entry).
* Experience: Previous warehouse or electrical wholesale experience is preferred but not essential. A proactive attitude is our priority.
