This role will provide you with the opportunity to take our customer facing services to the next level. You will lead a dynamic team in running our service desk, adult programmes and events, library promotions and housebound services. You will also be part of the library leadership team as we plan our future direction.

What You’ll Be Working On
Your day to day will be leading the Library Experience team. You will be involved in design and planning of events and programmes, and ensuring that all customers have a positive experience in the library.
You will be the point person in the Library Experience team, reporting directly to the Library Manager and helping connect our community with a great collection and amazing experiences.
You will ensure the team as a whole runs smoothly, and work with key team members to ensure the community is informed about upcoming library events.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role you will hold a qualification in librarianship.
You will bring extensive experience leading teams, and have an extensive customer service background. You’ll be comfortable leading team meetings, coaching and mentoring, and have a solutions focus.
Above all, you’ll work well with the team and the community: a great fit with us, and a great connection point for our local community as we continue to offer a great library experience.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working with Children Check
