About the role and where you will be working
Our Residential Facility in West Leederville are seeking experienced Care Workers to work on a casual basis. Ideally you are available at least 3x days per week to pick up shifts. As a Care Worker, you'll be playing an important role in assisting residents with activities of daily living, including social and communal needs. You will ensure quality outcomes for all of our residents under supervision of your supervisor.
Villa Pelletier is situated less than 1km from the natural wetlands of Lake Monger and is conveniently positioned near bustling Cambridge Street, which features a range of supermarkets, chemists, banks, cafes and a post office. Visitors have the convenience of onsite parking and the local bus stop only metres down the road.
We'll also be asking you to:
* Carefully read & follow care plans
* Assist with personal care (e.g. showering)
* Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
* Treat our residents & their family with respect
* Show compassion & exercise patience
About you
Currently working or volunteering in the community and wanting different hours? You're comfortable working on your own & in a team environment and enjoy spending time with elderly people.
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Care or equivalent.
* Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask.
* Great communication skills (spoken & written).
* Attention to detail for good record keeping.
* Morning and afternoon availability is desirable.
