About the role:
The Clinical Nurse to assist in the provision of primary health care services for Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation. The Clinical Nurse is expected to be able to work within developed systems, advise of necessary changes to current clinical systems, implement procedures in accordance to best practice guidelines and legislative requirement, or as directed by the Practice Manager.
What you'll be doing:
* Preparing and assisting with the delivery of primary healthcare services
* Performing triage, pre-screening, health checks and health assessments
* Administering GP Management Plans and procedures (e.g., immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry
* Managing cold chain, hygiene protocols, and infection control standards
* Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and recall systems
* Supporting Medicare billing and collaborating with CQI and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
* Monitoring clinic stock, equipment, and consumables in line with standards
* Participating in daily scrums and planning clinic workload with the Practice Manager
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor of Nursing
* Current AHPRA practicing certificate
* Experience in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services
* Knowledge of chronic disease management and preventative health
* Demonstrated skills in clinical assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making
* Understanding of culturally safe care models
* Experience in a multidisciplinary setting
* Working With Children Check & NSW Police History Check
* COVID-19 vaccination evidence
* First Aid Certificate
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence
* Familiarity with Medicare Billing (MBS items)
* Willingness to engage with Aboriginal communities
