You will be responsible for delivery of Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) accredited Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant movement of vessels whilst maintaining a high level of situational awareness within the Port of Port Hedland and VTS coverage area. The VTSO is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient management of shipping related activities as detailed in the relevant manuals and operating procedures. The VTS Centre operates on a 24/7 basis. About You You will bring a strong track record in operational excellence within a maritime environment such as maritime operations, towage, planning, logistics, or related field. Your background in comparable operational settings enables you to maintain situational awareness, communicate effectively under pressure, and apply transferable skills while remaining calm, methodical, and contributing positively to a safe, collaborative team environment.
