The role of Senior PM Designer is a dream opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of trend research and push fashion boundaries.
As a key member of the design team, you will guide the design direction for the portfolio, partnering with the General Manager of Design and Design Manager to create captivating collections that reflect our brand's handwriting.
You will lead the range plan management, ensuring every piece meets brand standards for fit and quality, and work hand-in-hand with the talented in-house pattern team and fabric experts to transform initial concepts into tangible and stunning samples.
Key responsibilities include:
* Researching and analysing local and international market, lifestyle, and emerging trends to ensure we remain first to market with innovative, customer-relevant designs.
* Creating strategic Design Briefs, trend storyboards, and colour palettes, actively participating in design meetings, workshops, and supplier briefings.
* Providing creative leadership by identifying opportunities, advising on styling and finishes, and challenging product direction where required to achieve the best outcome.
* Defining aesthetic direction in collaboration with the Design Manager, incorporating colour, fabric innovations, and strategic business insights.
* Partnering with Buyers, Textile Print Designers, and Quality teams to brief, refine, and deliver commercially successful products at the right time for the customer.
Requirements include:
* 5+ years Womenswear Design experience.
* Skilled in visualising design concepts (by hand and PC/MAC).
* A strong knowledge in fabrics and raw material.
* Ability to translate fashion trends into commercial design concepts.
* Creative talent and high attention to detail.
* Sound technical knowledge and garment construction skills.
* An understanding of all critical path elements and their impact on sales.
* Computer literacy in Design, Illustrator, CAD and PowerPoint.
* Computer literacy in desktop products, including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word).
* A sound knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets.
* Understand the customer and respond effectively to her needs.
