Network Administrator - Project
* Location – Parramatta
* Employment type – Temporary full-time up to twelve (12) months with possibility of extension
* Grade – Clerk Grade 7/8
* Salary – $113,574 pa - $125,720 pa plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support the delivery of secure and high-performance network and Wi-Fi solutions across NSW. This role involves hands-on configuration, optimisation and troubleshooting of network infrastructure within both project and operational environments.
What you'll do
Deliver high-quality network and Wi-Fi solutions across NSW by installing, supporting and optimising core infrastructure in both project and operational environments.
Key responsibilities:
* Configure and support Wi-Fi access points, install and implement network switches and related network hardware
* Maintain accurate documentation, CMDB records and installation standards
* Troubleshoot issues remotely and on-site, providing clear technical guidance
* Ensure compliance with security, policy and industry best-practice standards
* Conduct site surveys, quality checks and identify upgrade needs
* Prepare technical documentation for approvals and reporting
* Raise and manage changes, attending CAB as the technical SME
* Work both independently and collaboratively across delivery and operations teams
What we're looking for
A skilled Network Engineer with strong Wi-Fi, switching and troubleshooting capability to deliver high-quality network solutions across NSW.
You'll need:
* Expertise in Wi-Fi, switching, OSI/TCP-IP, BGP, OSPF
* Strong Cisco IOS, JUNOS, WLC and AP deployment skills
* Ekahau ECSE Design + APoS & predictive modelling (mandatory)
* Proficiency with SolarWinds and network diagnostics
* NetScaler ADC experience (mandatory)
* Solid BAU support + project delivery background
* Hands-on skills with VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN and switch config
* NSW driver licence + willingness to travel
* Strong communication and stakeholder skills
