As Assistant Venue Manager you'll work alongside the Venue Manager to support venue operations, team leadership and customer experience. You'll coach, motivate and develop an energetic team while ensuring the venue runs smoothly, safely and successfully.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a dynamic team, fostering a culture of teamwork, progression and accountability.
* Deliver an unforgettable customer experience by ensuring seamless venue operations, responding to feedback and coaching staff.
* Oversee safety and compliance—manage procedures, implement risk‐management strategies and ensure all standards are met.
* Drive business success by supporting key KPIs—including sales, customer experience, safety, labour and COGS.
* Develop and mentor the team, ensuring they have the skills, confidence and support to succeed.
* Manage presentation, cleanliness and operational efficiency so every customer has an epic experience.
* Act as Venue Manager when required, taking the lead to keep the venue at world‐class standards.
What You Bring to the Team
* Leadership experience in a fast‐paced, customer‐driven environment (hospitality, retail, fitness, recreation, or similar).
* Strong sense of ownership—proactive, solutions‐focused and lead by example.
* Passion for coaching and developing young teams, especially 16–24 year‐olds.
* Customer‐first thinking—create magic moments and ensure every guest has an amazing experience.
* Strong commercial awareness—understand sales, labour, cost control and operational efficiency.
* Resilience and adaptability—remain calm under pressure, embrace challenges and bring positivity daily.
* Hands‐on attitude—ready to jump in, roll up sleeves and take accountability.
