Key Responsibilities
* Lead a national portfolio, aligning government, energy and VET industry engagement, research and workforce initiatives
* Drive strategic government engagement, strengthening policy influence and key relationships
* Lead industry and union engagement, operating effectively within a tripartite model
* Provide clear thought leadership, setting direction and articulating how outcomes will be delivered
* Lead and uplift a senior leadership team, building capability and accountability across the function
* Translate systems thinking into execution, connecting strategy to measurable results
* Oversee workforce insights and research, ensuring outputs are rigorous, relevant and designed to influence policy and industry outcomes
* Strengthen internal capability, ensuring consistent delivery across the full portfolio

* Deliver high-quality submissions, briefings and strategic outputs for executive and Board audiences
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience leading enterprise-level, national programs or portfolios of significant scale and complexity
* Background in federal/state government, national NFPs, universities or industry bodies delivering sector-wide impact
* Demonstrated ability to operate as a systems leader, translating strategy into coordinated, multi-stream delivery
* Highly developed executive communication skills, able to articulate vision, direction and outcomes with clarity and authority
* Clear track record of owning and solving complex problems end-to-end, with tangible outcomes
* Credibility and presence to influence senior stakeholders, including government, industry and union representatives
* Strong financial and commercial acumen, with confidence contributing to investment and funding decisions
* Experience leading senior, multi-disciplinary teams, with the ability to challenge, influence and uplift experienced leaders
* A forward-thinking, strategic mindset, comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving change
