AIM Mining Corporation is an emerging gold exploration and development company with big plans underway. We currently operate the Warrawoona Gold Project in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and are now expanding our operations across multiple sites, including the exciting new Nullagine Gold Project.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Open Pit Training Officer to help develop, deliver and maintain high-quality training programs across our Pilbara operations.
About the role
Reporting to the HST Superintendent, the Open Pit Training Officer will play a key role in ensuring our workforce is trained, competent and confident to perform their roles safely and effectively.
You will be responsible for delivering site-based inductions, refresher training and competency assessments, while maintaining training records and supporting a strong safety culture across AIM's growing projects.
This is a site based role on a 15 days on, 13 days off roster FIFO from Perth, offering a chance to be hands-on and make a real impact on AIM's people and performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver site inductions, HST and competency-based training for all site personnel.
* Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments in line with AIM standards.
* Maintain training records and compliance documentation within INX.
* Support the development and review of training materials and procedures.
* Assist in emergency response training and drills as required.
* Work closely with operational leaders to identify and address training needs.
* Foster a positive safety culture and promote continuous improvement.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and approachable trainer who takes pride in helping others succeed. You bring a practical understanding of mining operations, strong communication skills and the ability to engage teams at all levels.
To be successful, you will bring:
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
* Previous experience delivering training in mining or heavy industry.
* Knowledge of HST systems, processes and legislation.
* Experience with INX or other learning management systems (desirable).
* Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills.
* A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
