This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of a premier racing venue from the ground up.

About Us

Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club is undergoing a major redevelopment, delivering a new facility that will host weekly race meetings and regular trial sessions.

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality racing facilities that prioritise greyhound welfare, participant experience and strong operational outcomes.

* Club machinery, vehicles and equipment

You'll lead a small team of track and facility staff, oversee contractors, and work closely with GRV's Track Maintenance & Infrastructure teams to ensure the track meets GRV's safety and performance standards.

This role requires flexibility across early mornings, afternoons/evenings and weekends to support race meetings and trial schedules.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver a safe, consistent racing and trialling surface in line with GRV standards

* Engage and coordinate contractors and service providers
* Ensure full compliance with safety, welfare and Club/GRV standards
* Contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You're a hands‑on, proactive leader with strong maintenance, grounds or track experience, ideally within racing, turf or sports facility environments. You take pride in presenting high‑quality venues and understand the importance of safety, welfare and consistent track conditions.

This position requires Australian citizenship for eligibility.

You will bring:

* Experience in track, turf, grounds or facility maintenance
* Mechanical, electrical, plumbing or general maintenance/DIY skills desirable, but not essential
* Proven leadership experience coordinating small teams
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to operate tractors, machinery and track equipment
* A collaborative, team‑focused approach
* A current Victorian Driver's Licence
* Experience in the racing industry or a Certificate III in Racing Services (Track Maintenance) will be highly regarded but is not essential

Why Join Us?

* Play a key role in the launch of a brand‑new racing facility
* Lead and develop a dedicated team during an exciting growth phase
* Be part of a proud sporting community with a strong future
