Occupational Therapist Level 3 - Team Leader
Location:
Belmont Hospital, Hunter New England Local Health District
Employment type:
Permanent – Full Time
Remuneration:
$116,892 – $120,680 per annum + superannuation + salary packaging
About the Position
You will lead a dynamic Occupational Therapy team in an acute clinical setting, overseeing a broad range of clinical specialties. Your leadership will support surgical, medical and rehabilitation services for adult inpatients, manage staffing and caseload distribution, and foster teamwork and professional development.
Responsibilities
Oversee line management and supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
Manage day-to-day staffing, referral allocation and caseload balance.
Foster effective communication across all staff levels.
Support clinical decision-making and maintain quality standards.
Provide mentoring, regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research and health excellence awards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
Experienced Occupational Therapist – Level 3 with proven leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage human resources and drive team performance.
Ability to adapt services in response to demand and community needs.
Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, or New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport. (If a Temporary visa holder, must be the sole candidate and sponsorship not available.)
Compliance with NSW Health policy PD****_015 regarding occupational assessment, screening and vaccination for Category A positions.
