Community Solutions is seeking junior candidates that are interested in commencing a Plastering Apprenticeship based in Townsville. This Apprenticeship will allow you to complete a Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (Plastering) with a reputable business that services the North Queensland region. If you are motivated and hardworking, & seeking a career in the construction industry, we want to hear from you!
The Apprenticeship Will Involve:
* Assembling of partitions
* Installation and finish of plasterboard and fiber cement sheeting to walls and ceilings
* Cleaning of job sites
* Heavy lifting may be required
* Repair and restore of existing plaster work
Requirements:
* Valid Drivers licence with own transport
* White Card (Construction Safety Induction)
* Certificate 1 in Construction (highly regarded)
* Able to work full time hours (Mon - Fri) with possibility of overtime on Saturdays
* Able to work independently and as a part of a team
* Demonstrated hand-eye coordination
* Enjoy completing practical work
* Physically fit
* Able to carry out precise and detailed work
* Ability to provide two work related references.
Successful applicants will be required to pass an aptitude test, and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
