Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our Childcare Centre team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of children in care.
The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.
This position involves planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.
Maintaining a hygienic and safe kitchen environment is crucial, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.
Catering to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences, is also essential.
Collaboration with childcare staff is necessary to support the health and wellbeing of children.
Ensuring compliance with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and procedures is a key aspect of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislation is required.
* Experience in preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional setting is beneficial.
* First Aid and Mandated Notification Training are highly valued.
