Procurement Specialist Role

This is a full time 12-month fixed term contract position.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for delivering day-to-day procurement functions, including sourcing activities, quotations, tendering, evaluation, purchase order creation, and contract administration.
Deliver high-value and complex procurement projects aligned to organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
Develop procurement plans, tender documentation, and evaluation strategies.
Negotiate commercial terms and finalise supplier contracts in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement policy, tools, and templates.
Provide oversight of contractor onboarding, engagement, and performance monitoring, ensuring alignment with the Contractor Management Framework.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure contractor compliance with safety, insurance, and performance standards.
Requirements:
Extensive experience managing both routine and complex procurement activities in a regulated and public-sector context.
Strong knowledge of procurement and contractor management frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence.
High-level skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and commercial acumen.
Sound understanding of risk, compliance, and probity in procurement and contractor engagement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of reports, documentation, and briefing materials.
Experience with procurement and contract management systems.
