To be considered for the role, you must have or be willing to obtain the following:
* Certificate III in Individual Support - Disability
* First Aid and CPR certificates
* Clear and current National Police Check
InterCare is a leading training and employment provider within the Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability, and Community Services industry across Melbourne.
A well-established Disability facility is seeking Disability Support Workers (DSWs) to work on a casual basis with the potential for permanency. Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work with individuals with various disabilities.
As a Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting participation in social and recreational activities
* Assisting with tasks outside the home, such as shopping and visiting friends and family
* Providing personal care
* Performing light domestic duties like meal preparation and cleaning
* Manual handling and use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
* Offering companionship and emotional support
* Transportation
