An opportunity for an Executive Housekeeper has become available within a private family home in the Northern Beaches of Mackay.
The role supports a professional family working up to 70–80 hours per week, with small children. With demanding schedules, the family values returning to a home that is calm, functional, highly organised, and consistently maintained to an excellent standard.
This is a hybrid role combining hands-on housekeeping with structured household organisation and system ownership. It will suit someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces and enjoys creating order and flow within a busy family environment.
The Role
Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 3 hours each day
Additional hours available, with flexibility in days and working times for the right candidate.
The Executive Housekeeper will take responsibility for maintaining the overall cleanliness, presentation, and functionality of the home in accordance with an agreed schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
* Scheduled cleaning to a high private-residence standard
* Full laundry management, including linen care and rotation
* Linen cupboard refreshes and organisation
* Pantry organisation and ongoing system maintenance
* Decluttering and structured organisation projects
* Labelling and implementing practical storage solutions
* Paid supply runs to Kmart, Bunnings, and homeware retailers for organisational tools
The home is already well maintained. This role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, and maintaining established systems while enhancing functionality where appropriate.
The principals may be working from home at times, so professionalism, discretion, and comfort working in an occupied home are essential.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience in private homes, executive housekeeping, or similar high-standard environments
* Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
* Initiative and the ability to work independently
* Reliability and a long-term mindset
* A calm, structured approach suited to a busy household with young children
* Pride in maintaining high standards
Requirements:
* Current Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
